However, those who like both might find themselves contemplating for too long in the morning before deciding what to pick. Alas! You wasted ten minutes and now, you are getting late for work.

Tea and coffee both contain caffeine. However, if you want a more energetic morning for a long day at work, coffee is the way to go. Different variations have different caffeine contents but a regular cup tea might have about 14-70 milligrams caffeine. Meanwhile, a regular cup of coffee might have about 65-150 milligrams. However, too much caffeine can also be a problem.

Undoubtedly, tea is the winner if you’re looking to detox. Coffee also contains antioxidants but the amount is miles lower than that in tea. Among types of teas, all teas that are from the camellia tea plant—such as green tea, black tea, and oolong tea are best for detox.

If there is something negative about drinking tea and coffee, that is, it interferes in iron absorption. However, coffee is a much safer option. Tea contains tanins, a type of antioxidant that affects the absorption of iron from plant-based iron from foods like greens and beans. A study revealed that drinking tea after a meal results to a 62 percent reduction in absorption of iron compared to coffee’s 35 percent. If you have an iron deficiency, stay away from tea.

Both coffee and tea suit different weight-loss programs. If you are on a diet, tea is good for you. But if you want to burn your body fat by sweating it out. Coffee is not only an energy booster, but it also aids your metabolism.
